During the band’s formation and initial push, there was no promise of money, recognition, or any of the things that come along with being in a rock n’ roll band. In a world where the product is tailored to the consumer, it is the band’s pureness of motive that sets them apart from rock’s common fare. The Virgins, not being a corporate invention, have a legitimacy rarely found these days. They have become an important piece of the cultural puzzle, worthy recipients of their artistic heirloom, as well as capable candidates to bring an important lineage to the next stage of its evolution.
