Frank Lucas is not a hero or a role model. His role in the drug trade of the 1960s and 70s indirectly and directly lead to the destruction of countless lives and the ruination of numerous families. He is also a man whose daring business sense has resulted in a legacy of infamy, most recently cemented by American Gangster, a big-time Hollywood movie with A-list actors and a legendary film director. The film has elevated Lucas to the status of urban legend and this wheelchair-bound, eighty-year old man is currently enjoying a renewed celebrity status in his twilight years.
